Chance2030 is a social sculpture in Paula's Garden. A historic place becomes a construction site, a resonance space and a question: what could Worpswede be in the year 2030, if it no longer merely administers its cultural heritage but turns it back into presence?
The project gathers images, conversations, silence, signatures, resistances and possibilities. Not as a finished answer, but as an open process.
Perhaps the future begins where a place is no longer only shown, but once again risks something.
Chance2030 is an ongoing artistic project between photography, construction site, conversation and social sculpture. It asks what a historic artists' place can become when memory is no longer enough.
Paula's Garden is not a finished exhibition format, but a real place in the making: garden, construction site, threshold, image space and public resonance test.
A historic place in Worpswede becomes the construction site of a possible place. Not as a museum, not as a backdrop, but as a space in which questions, images and conversations can emerge.
At the construction fence the project begins in public space. Whoever stops, reads, rings the bell or stays silent becomes part of the process. Chance2030 gathers not only answers, but also hesitation, absence and non-resonance.
